DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:\n\nDr Cheryl and Manny Mvula arranged by Paul Downes\n\n\nThe High Five Cl
ub\n\n\nThe High Five Club is a UK registered charity that works hand in ha
nd with impoverished communities living in wildlife areas of Africa. \n\n\
nTheir priorities are:\n\n\nPoverty Reduction, Education, Health & Nutritio
n, Environmental Sustainable Livelihoods\n\n\nWe are looking to possibly pa
rtner with them to raise funds for 2 one-off projects:\n\n\n1. Start a new
 school breakfast club in Zambia\n\n\nhttps://thehigh5club.files.wordpress.c
om/2013/02/malimba-breakfast-club.pdf\n\n\n2. Fund the building of a new we
ll; Clean Water Provision Project in Zambia. (The well will be built by the
  villagers and with local expertise)\n\n\nhttps://thehigh5club.files.wordpr
 ess.com/2013/02/cleanwaterprovisionreportphase4.pdf\n\n\nCheryl and Manny l
ive in Whitstable and have organised a 2 week trip to Zambia for 2016. Ten
people will be going from Whitstable/Canterbury including myself, Karien an
d Celia Rumley (from Canterbury Sunrise Rotary Club). \n\n\nWe will be sta
ying at a wildlife park for the 1st week and will be involved in a communit
y-based project in the 2nd week. The local community will decide what proje
ct they would like us to work on.\n\n\nCheryl and Manny spoke to the Canter
bury Club in the New Year and President Richard Davis is very positive abou
t supporting the 2 projects. (President Richard cycled with our Whitstable
team in France last year and so there are already some good contacts). If w
e also support the projects then we could arrange a joint meeting with Cant
erbury Sunrise on our return from Zambia in 2016 and report on the projects
first-hand.\n\n\nDr. Cheryl Mvula runs her own Responsible Tourism Consult
ancy, Tribal Voice Communications, spending much of her time in Africa work

e local development.\n\n\nCheryl’s husband, Manny Mvula, is from Zambia a
nd is one of Africa’s top safari guides, a wildlife conservationist and a
field trip leader. He regularly makes trips back to his home country of Za
mbia to work on wildlife conservation and community development projects in
the Luangwa Valley, the area in which he was born and raised.\n\n\nSee thi
